Note that urgent care hours will NOT be offered over the summer, though it may be possible to schedule a therapy appointment on short notice. If you are experiencing an emergency at a time in which PCS is not available, please use the emergency resources below.
What is urgent care?
If you are experiencing an emergency, Personal Counseling Services offers urgent care appointments from 3:00-4:00pm Monday through Friday during the academic year.
Urgent care hours are for students who are managing a current crisis, such as thoughts of suicide or self-injury, thoughts of hurting someone else, or a recent traumatic event or loss. Appointment length may vary based on student needs.
These appointments are available to students on a first-come basis, and you can access them by coming to our reception desk. You will be asked to fill out brief paperwork to assess your needs. If our clinicians determine that your current situation is not an emergency we may ask you to schedule in our soonest available appointment, which is typically within 1-3 days.
