Rape Crisis Center College Counselor and Advocate

Personal Gender Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

My name is Annette Haas and I am so excited to be working with students, staff, and faculty here at Edgewood College! My B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Sociology were earned at Drake University, in Des Moines, IA. I then pursued my M.S.W. at the University of Wisconsin Madison where I learned to greatly appreciate the Madison culture. My training and past experiences have been working with issues on substance abuse, mental health, and the grieving process. I am new to the Rape Crisis Center as of Spring 2017. In my role here at Edgewood College, I have the opportunity to work with individuals affected by sexual violence through counseling and advocacy services. I feel so honored to be working with individuals who I find are all so strong, resilient and full of hope despite the violence they have endured. Outside of work, I really enjoy hiking, exploring new and creative restaurants, and enjoying time with friends and family. I am very excited to be a part of this campus and to serve all students, faculty, and staff here! Please feel free to make an appointment with me or receive immediate support by calling the Rape Crisis Center 24/7 Helpline: (608) 251-7273.
